Using icotek's patented grommet-based cable entry system, a wide range of pre-terminated cables (up to 65 mm in diameter) and cables without connectors (up to 75 mm in diameter) can be quickly routed into enclosures, control panels or machines and sealed to provide up to IP66/UL Type 4X* protection (certified acc. to EN 60529/UL 50-E). The cable entry frames also act as strain relief on the cable (acc. to EN 62444). The split cable entry system allows for quick and easy assembly, making it ideal for retrofits and maintenance.

The icotek split cable entry systems allow for the transit of a large number of connectorised cables or complete cable harnesses in a small area. Unlike conventional cable glands, the connector doesn't have to be cut from the cable beforehand and reconnected afterwards. Thus, the cable manufacturer's warranty remains and it saves a lot of assembly time. Electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic cables without connectors, as well as corrugated conduits and hoses, can also be easily routed, sealed and strain relieved using split cable entry systems.
icotek cable entry systems – completely splittable, high cable density
The icotek cable entry system is completely divisible. This makes installation quick and easy. The pre-terminated cable is placed into the split grommet which is set into one of the cable entry frame’s compartments. The grommet is now securely fixed inside the frame and can’t fall out. Due to the fine gradation of the cable diameters, there is an excellent adaptation of the grommet to the inserted cable or hose. Once the lid is affixed to the base frame, it is compressed and tightly sealed. The high compression pressure ensures strain relief according to EN 62444 and certified sealing rates up to IP66 (acc. to EN 60529) and UL type 4X* (acc. to UL 50-E).
Another benefit is the high cable density of the cable entry systems that enable a space-saving assembly. For example, when using multiple grommets with some specific frame sizes, up to 120 cables can be routed in an area of 15 × 15 cm.

The cable entry systems are either screw mounted or simply snapped into a pre-mounted snap frame. The cable entry systems are available in many different sizes which are mostly based on standard cut-outs of industrial multi-pin heavy duty connectors. Large variety of cable entry systems
The different model ranges of the icotek split cable entry systems offer various application possibilities:
- For cable routing (up to 35 mm in diameter) in extreme areas the cable entry system KEL-ER offers high protection ratings IP66/UL Type 4X*. Available in 8 different sizes.
- Similarly, icotek offers the cable entry system KEL-U in the same sizes, with protection rating IP54/UL Type 12.
- The centrally split cable entry system KEL is an icotek classic (protection ratings IP54/UL Type 12) which, due to its extensions, offers the highest cable density. Cables and hoses with diameters up to 35 mm can be routed.
- The cable entry systems KEL-FA, KEL-QUICK and KEL-QTA (protection rating IP54) impress with the possibility of quick and consistently tool-free installation. Available in many different sizes.
- For routing cables in a 90° angle icotek offers the cable entry systems KEL-FG (IP54) and KEL-FG-ER (IP65) in different sizes as well as the split bulkhead KEL-FW (IP65).
- For routing flat cables (as well in combination with preterminated round cables) the cable entry system KEL-FL is the perfect choice.
- For routing large diameter supply cables or hoses with up to 75 mm in diameter icotek offers the cable entry systems KEL-JUMBO and KEL 183.
- For applications with lower requirements on ingress protection icotek offers cable pass-through plates with brush seal, specifically designed to feed cables easily into server racks, control panels and through raised floors and walls.
